kmparkerpress@yahoo.comI like to consider myself an artist of life, and a passionate explorer. I create limited edition wildlife prints, and my work is represented by Beretta Gallery, and Ursus Books and Prints in NYC. I am also a new mother of a beautiful baby girl, Kia Isabella. She has been a true gift and the purest blessing. I feel so fortunate to experience the overwhelming love which only a mother has for her child.
I have taken a sabbatical from creating art to focus on raising my greatest masterpiece, Baby Kia, however had a show at Ursus Books and Prints last September. The body of work I created for the exhibit was called "Wondrous Menagerie". Many of the prints from this exhibit are on my etsy site:::

Ken and I have found home in Pagosa Springs, CO. Here I am surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. It is not unusual to witness an elk, mule deer or random fox crossing my path in the early morning light, or sleepy evening dusk. These ethereal encounters bear witness to life with my big wondrous eyes. It is in such moments that I take mental images, imprint them in my brain to later translate to prints. I share my life with my dear husband Ken. We have traveled a long journey to be together, and appreciate every moment. We spend many secret and sweet moments on the trail, under the canopy of the conifers, inside deep canyons, and walk on mountains in the clouds. I have two horses. Auzzie, a sweet Arabian Mare who was given to me by a very dear friend in Jackson, WY. And Cheyenne, a cantankerous Peruvian Paso Mare who means well. She squeals like an ancient promordial dinosaur yet is profoundly gentle. Perhaps to make up for her lack of aggressiveness? I often take my horses up into the mountains, ride Cheyenne, and let Auzzie be "The Phantom Horse" as she runs loose behind me. Its a great feeling of freedom to be running 'a~horseback' with another freely running along side.
I am not complex, I make art but don't like to talk about art. I am cheerful. I'm no one special...and I am certainly not perfect. I trust. Sometimes I dont care, I can be passive. I lavish upon music and film. I listen to horses. I try not to get attached, but inevidably do. I can often be naive. I am idealistic. My mind waunders...and am often dreamy. I sometimes recess to the far recesses of my soul. Sometimes I am sad, disappointed. I am often at a loss for words, but mean well. But I create, and I am fiercely loyal. I listen and love big. I give of myself in generous ways. I am open.
We had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Mesquite sand dunes of Death Valley February 2007. It was a true celebration of life and love. Sarah I love you, it was a true blessing to have YOU officiate our marriage. Nicole and Alex, you are the dearest sisters that I have always wanted. You both filled our union with pure delight. Papa Jay, and Papa Bill ~ I am so blessed to have my "Papa from the West" and my "Papa from the East" give me away. The Neruda reading by my beautiful and FAVORITE Couzzin Lili was full of passion, and to Clint, Jen, Jeff, and Jana, who read from my little handmade books; poetry by Rumi & Neruda, you made our spirits soar. Thank you all who made the long trek out to such a remote yet extraordinary place, your presence made the experience all the more wondrous. For those of you who could not make it, we missed you but felt you close in spirit!
Life has unfolded. I am married to a loving and creative man with a sweet and gentle soul. We have traveled in our Airstream for two years experiencing the mystery of this wondrous world we live in. We have crossed ethereal creeks in misty rain forests, meditated upon the sea stacks of the West Coast. Hiked into the depths of the open desert, listened to the secrets of wild and restless winds, and nurtured our hearts upon the sands of time. We had the opportunity to be caretaking a beautiful estate overlooking the valley and the Teton Range for a year. Now we have found home in Colorado, and are lavishing in the sweetness of raising our Baby Kia. Now these tired feet have established roots and other wondrous ephemera.........
I take deep breaths.
Ken's website is up and running with a collection of his photography. Here you can see more photos he has taken of his beloved, in addition to rodeo, horses, descansos, portraits, and our sweet Weimaraner doggo, Chama. He keeps updating so keep checking. Below is a link to his site:

So we are enjoying the sweet sun on our backs as we continue our lifelong honeymoon, and delight in the adventure of life, love and being new parents. We are so very blessed.
